Godolphin followed the mantra of four-time AFL premiership coach Alastair Clarkson in Friday nights Group 2 Australia Stakes (1200m) at The Valley.
Clarkson often uses the phrase, “you lose a soldier; you replace him with another one”, when discussing player unavailability at press conferences.
