Fin whale found dead off Naples coast after calf leads Italian coastguard to discovery
Italian coastguard have discovered the body of a fin whale near the southern coast of Naples after they followed a young whale calf in distress at sea.

The dead whale was towed toward the Naples harbour after a complex operation involving two coastguard vessels.
Coastguard scuba divers found the lifeless whale on Sunday, January 17, after spotting a calf in difficulty near the harbour of Sorrento, a coastal town that overlooks the Naples bay.
