Tasmania reopens to Greater Brisbane, parts of Sydney

Tasmania will reopen its borders to travellers from Greater Brisbane from midnight tonight.
Key points:
- Greater Brisbane and 24 local government areas of Greater Sydney will be reclassified as low-risk from midnight
- It means people will no longer have to quarantine when entering the state and those in quarantine may leave
- Premier Peter Gutwein thanked people for their patience but said Tasmania wouldn’t hesitate to impose restrictions when needed
