The event will begin at 11:30am on Wednesday in Washington DC, with the swearing-in of Mr Biden and vice-president-elect Kamala Harris to begin after midday.
In Australia, you’ll need to set an early alarm on Thursday morning to watch the inauguration live: at about 3:30am AEDT, 2:30am in Queensland and 12:30am in Perth.
