Five Guys launching first Australian store in Penrith

US burger chain Five Guys has announced its first store in Australia will launch in Penrith in mid-2021, with construction likely to begin in the next few weeks.
Sydney-based Seagrass Boutique Hospitality will act as franchisee, and will focus on a suburban rollout initially before CBD locations will be opened – a strategy implemented after the impact Covid-19 had on city centers.
Boutique is partnering with Panthers Group to bring the 500 sqm store to Penrith – the site chosen due to its position as a western hub that demonstrates growth potential and footfall. It will be situated next door to the Panther’s Leagues Clubs, and in between KFC and McDonalds.
