Victorian coronavirus border restrictions ease for most of Greater Sydney
Victoria has downgraded most of the Greater Sydney region from “red” to “orange” under its coronavirus risk rating, allowing some Victorians to return home.
Key points:
- Those returning from orange zones must get tested within 72 hours of arriving in Victoria and quarantine until a negative result
- Ten local government areas in Sydney will remain red zones, subject to daily reviews
- Victoria has recorded its 12th consecutive day with no new locally acquired coronavirus cases
The local government areas (LGAs) of Blacktown, Canada Bay, Burwood, Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland, Fairfield, Inner West, Liverpool, Paramatta and Strathfield will remain classed as red zones.
