Cyclone Kimi sparks BOM flood watch for northern Queensland communities

The storm is set to batter the far north when it makes landfall between Innisfail and Lucinda, north of Townsville, late on Monday or early Tuesday.
It’s expected to bring damaging and destructive winds of up to 150km/h after intensifying into a category two system.
But heavy rainfall associated with the system will also wreak havoc in following days.
