Victoria Bridge closure Brisbane: What’s happening, which dates, and why
Victoria Bridge, one of Brisbane’s oldest bridges, is set to close permanently to general traffic on Sunday 24 January, 2021.
The bridge that links South Brisbane to the CBD over the Brisbane River will make way for Brisbane Metro buses, cyclists and pedestrians.

The bridge is being closed to general traffic as part of a 2016 plan to reduce congestion and improve public transport access to the Brisbane CBD and inner city areas.
