Ben Simmons is still a Philadelphia 76er – not a Houston Rocket – after James Harden ended up in Brooklyn after the Nets pulled off a mega-trade with Houston.
But just how close was Philadelphia to beating the Nets to Hardens signature? Very, very close, it turns out.
According to a report in the Philadelphia Inquirer, the 76ers were so confident that the trade would be secured that Ben Simmons was told to pack his bags.
