Hannah Mouncey has blasted the league’s gender diversity policy.
Transgender footballer Hannah Mouncey has blasted the AFLs gender diversity policy and is threatening court action in a bid to play in Canberras first-grade womens competition.
Mouncey was infamously denied entering the AFLW draft in 2017 following an 11th-hour decision from head office.
The AFL based its call on the Victorian Equal Opportunity Act, which states that athletes can be discriminated against based on their sex or gender if strength, stamina or physique is relevant.
