Daughter charged with father’s murder after fatal stabbing in NSW Hunter region

A woman has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing her father — who had served jail time for a brutal assault — in the NSW Hunter region last night.

Police were called to a home in Tenambit, in Maitland, around 7.20pm and discovered a man suffering two stab wounds to his upper torso.
Michael Carroll, 51, was treated unsuccessfully at the scene by police and paramedics.
His 23-year-old daughter, Maddison Hickson, was arrested at the scene and taken to Maitland Police…
