Push for higher COVID testing rates across NSW as state records one new local case – Sydney Morning Herald
NSW recorded one new locally acquired case on Saturday, as the Victorian Premier flagged possible changes to the NSW border restrictions on Sunday.
“NSW Health is treating 100 COVID-19 cases, one of whom is in intensive care. Most cases (99 per cent) are being treated in non-acute, out-of-hospital care.”
In an update on Saturday morning, Dr Chatu Yapa from NSW Health said it is “very likely that COVID-19 is continuing to circulate in the community among people who have mild or no symptoms”.
