Severe thunderstorm warnings issued for southeast Queensland

Southeast Queensland has sweltered through a hot and muggy day, with temperatures hitting 35°C in Ipswich and Brisbane this afternoon (Saturday). The heat and humidity, combined with an upper-level trough, have triggered some severe thunderstorms in the region and thunderstorm warnings have been issued.
