Fifita is reportedly torn between staying loyal to the Broncos and taking up a monster deal with the Titans.
The 20-year old star forward called up Brisbane on Tuesday night to inform them he had taken up a $1.1 million-a-year offer to move to the Glitter Strip before backflipping and telling coach Anthony Seibold he was staying.

Then the Titans made a stunning call to increase their offer to $1.25m a season, prompting Fifita again to reconsider where his future lies.
As Fifitas former coach and a fountain of rugby league wisdom, Bennett was asked whether he thought the Titans were being responsible throwing so much money at a 20-year old with just 37 games of NRL experience.
Bennett answered in his usual quirky manner, calling on the rugby league world to compare the in-demand Fifita with the crazy housing market.

Its the market. Its like buying a house, isnt it, he said.
If someone wants to pay a ridiculous amount of money for a house youre not going to say no to it.
If someone wants to pay $1.25 million, they are mature people, they run their clubs, if they think thats of value to them then thats their problem.
I dont think that should be ever changed.

Bennett did not have any issue with the Gold Coasts approach, saying it speaks volumes to how highly Fifita is rated within the club.
Whats ridiculous? I dont know. As I said if youve got a house, a great offer on it, no one runs around telling its a ridiculous price youre paying, he said.
Youre happy to pay it and if the Titans made that offer, Im not close enough to know all that, it says what they think of him and how important he is to their organisation.

Sam Burgess confirmed earlier in February that he was part of a $5 million crack at luring Fifita to his former club but the Broncos tearaway ended up declining.
Asked what he would do if given the opportunity to go after Fifita, Bennett said he would weigh up whether the big-money move would be in the entire clubs interests.
I dont know what Id do mate if I was in that situation, I have no idea, he said.

If I had the money in the bank and thought it was in the best interests of the club Id do it. But it may not be in the best interest of the club.
Its how you see things. The Titans have obviously got an administration who know what theyre doing.
Bennett also confirmed that he has not reached out to Fifita to offer his two cents, saying that the 20-year old is already getting enough support in an already stressful time in his young career.

No I havent spoken to David, he said.
Im sure hes getting plenty of advice he doesnt need any from me.
Fifitas lethal combination of speed and power and his incredible potential going forward has prompted a tug-of-war for his signature which is now down to the Titans and Broncos.
Bennett says he doesnt need to give Fifita a big rap to prove that he would an asset wherever he ends up.

Everyone sees the great ability hes got, he said.
Hes a 20-year old player. Theres another generation in front of him. I dont know why youre second guessing with regards to this, he didnt make the offer to himself.
Do I have to stand here and sing his praises for him. I dont think I have to do that.
I dont know other 20 year olds who played like he has in my time in the NRL.
