Twin babies are dying at an alarming rate and many of the deaths could have been avoided if doctors had followed guidance, a national inquiry has found.
An investigation into stillbirths and neonatal deaths shows that twins are twice as likely as single-pregnancy babies to be stillborn and 3.5 times more likely to die as newborns.
Clinical experts at Oxford University reviewed 50 twin pregnancies and 80 baby deaths from 2017. They found that most deaths might have been preventable with better care….
