BMW announced the new technology for the fully-electric iX SUV, first revealed in November 2020, providing a greater level of convenience for the driver.
The BMW Digital Key Plus uses ultra-wideband (UWB) technology built into Apple iPhone models in recent years.
Using an iPhone as a key is becoming common practice in the industry, with BMW first unveiling a similar idea back in June 2020.
