The Federal Government is encouraging young Australians to take up seasonal work opportunities as part of an expanded collaboration trial with Queensland farmers.
The $1 million initiative is hoped to ease
pressure on farmers struggling to harvest because of a national labour shortage.“We’re partnering with Growcom Australia in trying to have a horticultural gap year, to go out, see their country and help farmers.” – Agricultural Minister, David Littleproud.
