Karloo bushfire in Geraldton’s east under control, as Gingin Shire fire destroys 25,000 olive trees
Residents of Karloo have described seeing “clouds of embers” with every wind gust as a bushfire threatened homes in the Geraldton suburb last night.

“It was definitely scary and not something I would want to experience again,” Jamie Greenham said.
Mr Greenham said the fire was burning within metres of his house at the corner of Peter Way and Abraham Street.
