‘I’ve never heard so much rubbish in my life’
Australian cricket coach Justin Langer has unloaded on a barrage of “rubbish” criticism levelled at captain Tim Paine and superstar batsman Steve Smith.
Smith has been left shattered by claims that he erred, even cheated, in the third Test against India by scratching around the batting guard during Rishabh Pant’s innings.
Paine’s verbal assault on India’s Ravi Ashwin – for which he has apologised – was also heavily criticised, as was his captaincy.
