Police charge two people who refused to wear masks in Brisbane

“Similarly, [police received] a report from persons in the community about a person in Queen Street Mall who was refusing to wear a mask [while] getting takeaway food.

“When police attended, that person spat on the member of public who had reported it and was arrested for serious offences as well as not complying with the Chief Health Officer’s direction.”
Greater Brisbane residents must wear a mask at places including shopping centres, supermarkets, retail outlets, hospitals, aged care facilities, places of worship, gyms and on public transport.
