Telephones no obstacle to great parenting: research – The News Pocket

toddlers plagued by guilt over the times that they spend on smartphones may break easy, scientists state.
Adults glued into their telephones are accused of bad parenting, however, studies have found little evidence of a direct connection between them both.
The current research revealed 3659 study answers from parents, discovering smartphone usage was correlated with hot and connected parenting – provided that the tech wasn’t heavily affecting family time.
“Parental smartphone usage was demonised because of threat to households… but over varied family surroundings, smartphones play numerous roles in life, for example, supply of social assistance and data and enabling work and electronic errands,” Griffith University researcher Dr Kathryn Modecki stated.
She stated the study would ideally encourage discussions about households’ varied experiences with technologies, real risks connected with parenting and the way parents may be encouraged.
