ABC New England North West broadcaster David Evans OAM dead at 78
Listeners, politicians, professionals and colleagues are sharing their memories of former ABC broadcaster David Evans OAM, who has died aged 78.

Also a passionate horseman, historian and community volunteer, Evans’s media career spanned many decades in both radio and television.
He worked at Moree’s local radio station 2VM in the early 1980s before becoming the newsreader at Prime TV Tamworth in 1984, a position he held until 1999.
He began with ABC Local Radio that same year, presenting Saturday Breakfast until his retirement in 2014.
Seven years later, listeners still remember him fondly.
