Woman picking up takeaway dragged hundreds of metres in alleged Brisbane carjacking

An 18-year-old man accused of a violent carjacking which seriously injured a woman in Brisbane overnight has been remanded in custody.
Police allege Theo Fewquandie entered the driver’s side of a parked car at a shopping centre in Woolloongabba about 7:00pm on Monday while a 22-year-old woman was waiting in the passenger seat.
It is alleged he tried to push the woman from the car before speeding off causing the woman to be dragged for several hundred metres before the car crashed into a brick wall.
The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
