Sydney man Amar Kettule shot dead in ‘violent attack’ at Fairfield was known to police

A 34-year-old man who died in a targeted attack at Fairfield, in Sydney’s south-west, has been identified as having links to an organised crime gang.

- A 34-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds in a Fairfield laneway
- He died a short time later despite attempts to revive him
- Police knew the man and believe the attack was targeted
Emergency crews were called to a laneway in William Street at 3:00am, where they found the man with several gunshot wounds.
Amar Kettule could not be revived and died at the scene.
Detective Acting Superintendent, Glen Fitzgerald, said police were trying to determine a motive.
“We believe the attack to be targeted,” he said.
