Indonesian divers find parts of plane wreckage from Sriwijaya Air Flight 182

Indonesian divers have located parts of the wreckage of a Boeing 737-500 that crashed into the Java Sea with 62 people on board shortly after take-off from Jakarta.

- The plane lost contact after taking off from Jakarta on Saturday
- There were 62 people on board, including seven children and three babies
- The plane was 26 years old, but Sriwijaya Air insists it was airworthy
“We received reports from the diver team that the visibility in the water is good and clear, allowing the discovery of some parts of the plane,” Air Chief Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto said in a statement.
“We are sure that is the point where the plane crashed.”
