Coronavirus Australia live news: Fines issued in Greater Brisbane as locked down city waits for COVID-19 case tally

Hi there, I’m Sophie. I’m masked up in rainy locked down Brisbane, so today’s an ideal day for me to be running ABC’s coronavirus blog coverage. If I wasn’t here, I’d definitely be obsessively refreshing the blog at home.
Of course the main thing front of mind for a lot of us is whether there’s been any community transmission of the UK coronavirus strain in Brisbane. We’ll be keeping a close eye on that. I’ll bring news of the Queensland press conference, as well as the other states, as soon as I have it to hand.
