With his guitar in one hand, supermarket bags of food in the other and a pair of slides on his size 18 feet, Steven Adams is ready for life in the NBA’s Orlando bubble.
Adams and the Oklahoma City Thunder arrived into the NBA’s bubble at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida on Wednesday (Thursday NZT).
All NBA teams will be based there, under strict protocols, to allow the season to restart following the Covid-19 enforced shutdown.
Steven Adams will be back on court for the Oklahoma City Thunder early next month.
Fresh from “boxing out cows” in New Zealand during the break for the global pandemic, Adams arrived in a face mask with a backpack, a guitar and supermarket bags full of food.

Adams and the Thunder will restart their season on August 2 (NZT) against the Utah Jazz.
The NBA season gets back underway on July 31 (NZT).
The NBA season was shut down on March 11 after Utah Jazz centre Rudy Gobert tested positive to Covid-19.
