Panic buying as Queensland shoppers defy Premier, Chief Health Officer

Queensland Health issued a separate statement after the Friday morning lockdown announcement, urging against panic buying.
“Supermarkets and essential businesses will remain open during the Greater Brisbane area lockdown,” the department.
“There are no concerns that supermarket supplies are at risk during this three-day period.”
