Coronavirus Qld: Greater Brisbane lockdown
The lockdown is in place from 6pm Friday to 6pm Monday.
Who is affected?
More than 2.38 million people living in the Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Ipswich, Redland and Logan council areas.
What are the lockdown rules?
People in these areas must stay at home except:
- to attend work if you can’t work from home;
- to buy essentials such as groceries and medicine;
- to look after the vulnerable; and
- to exercise within their neighbourhood.
Masks are to be worn at all times when outside your home, including in workplaces and on public transport.
Twenty people can attend funerals and 10 people can attend weddings but there is to be no dancing or singing.
There is a limit of two visitors in homes.
Restaurants and cafes are to provide takeaway service only.
