Four people died, including a woman shot by police, as supporters of President Donald Trump violently occupied the US Capitol, according to local police.

Police in Washington DC said they also found two pipe bombs, one outside the Democratic National Committee and one outside the Republican National Committee, in the wake of the violence.
They also found a cooler inside a vehicle which had a “long gun” and a Molotov cocktail on the grounds of the US Capitol.
