New roadside tech to warn Queensland drivers to stop using phones – Brisbane Times
The move comes after a trial of secret cameras which use artificial intelligence to catch people flouting the law.

Reckless Queensland drivers using their mobile phone behind the wheel will be automatically detected by roadside cameras that could broadcast a message warning them to stop flouting the law.
Authorities want to roll out a system to “nudge” drivers to stop using their phones, similar to electronic signs that detect speeding motorists and warn them to slow down, or deliver a “smiley face” if they behave.
