Four were locally acquired, while a fifth was recorded in hotel quarantine.
Of the locally acquired cases, one was linked to the Avalon cluster, and two are under investigation (although authorities say it is “likely” one of those cases is linked to the Berala cluster).
The remaining infection was reported yesterday, and was an 18-year-old who travelled through several locations in regional NSW.
There were 32,667 tests completed in the reporting period.
