Queensland weather BOM radar: Ingham facing flooding after ex-cyclone Imogen brings intense rain
Major flood warnings are in place in northern Queensland after the region was hit overnight with intense rainfall associated with ex-tropical cyclone Imogen.
Flooding is being experienced in the town of Ingham, north of Townsville, after 120mm of rain was recorded in an hour there on Wednesday morning.
The Herbert River, which runs next to the town, is moderately flooding, with heavy rain expected to continue throughout the day.
The Bruce Highway is closed north of Ingham due to floodwater.
