Norfolk County Council leader ‘understands and supports’ new coronavirus lockdown – Lynn News
Essential services will continue for the most vulnerable workers, the authority’s head has said tonight.
Norfolk County Council chiefs have backed moves to impose a new national lockdown in England this evening.
Officials say the county has recorded more than 6,000 coronavirus cases in the last fortnight and the number of people in Norfolk’s hospitals with the infection has more than trebled in the last month.
Council leader Andrew Proctor said key services to the most vulnerable residents will go on, with further updates in the next few days.
