US politics live updates: Donald Trump and Joe Biden set to campaign in Georgia as crucial runoff looms
A President and a president-elect walk into a state…
…one turns to the other and says…well…they wouldn’t say anything because Biden and Trump have skipped the normal meeting between outgoing and incoming presidents (at Trump’s wishes, of course. Biden’s said he’s down to meet).
But both will hit the campaign trail in Georgia today ahead of the crucial Senate runoff elections tomorrow.
President-elect Joe Biden is set to speak at an event for Democratic candidates Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock at about 8:45am AEDT.
Then President Donald Trump will host his own rally with Republican candidates David Perdue and Kelly Leoffler at about 10:00am AEDT.
So today we’ll be bringing a real November flavour to these January elections.
