Brisbane builders handed more than 800 breach notices

It followed a string of enforcement notices issued over the old hotel’s condition and more enforcement action taken by the state government.

Enforcement notices were also issued by the state government over the condition of Lamb House, a heritage property in Kangaroo Point that also became the subject of a contentious back-and-forth between the council and its owner, Joy Lamb, over unpaid rates.
The property is now expected to be sold this year by the council to recover more than $300,000 in rates.
Over the same time period, 35 enforcements were finalised through the courts, according to the council data.
