A defiant 97* from Marcus Stoinis which formed part of a 56-run partnership with Hilton Cartwright has given the Melbourne Stars hope of just their third win of the Big Bash League season.
Stoinis was in fine form with the bat slogging to 97 from 55 balls against the Hobart Hurricanes, while Cartwright added 36 of his own after coming in to replace Nicholas Pooran.
