New South Wales has recorded a further eight locally acquired cases of COVID-19 as health authorities work to contain outbreaks while avoiding harsh lockdown measures.
Among the new infections are five that are linked to the Berala cluster, that now numbers 13, two close contacts of a case linked to the Avalon cluster, and one close contact of a previous case from Wollongong, Deputy Premier John Barilaro told reporters on Sunday.
