Search under way for child last seen in Sunshine Coast river

Emergency services are searching for a child who was last seen in a Sunshine Coast waterway on Friday afternoon.
Paramedics were called to The Esplanade at Maroochydore about 5pm after reports that the child was missing, the Queensland Ambulance Service said.
Footage from the scene at the Maroochy River showed police, life savers and the Westpac Life Saver Rescue helicopter involved in search efforts.
Channel Nine reported that the child was last seen swimming in the area.
