France launches super high-resolution military satellite – ClickLancashire
The Earth observation satellite CSO-2 that Airbus has built for the French Armed Forces has been successfully launched on a Soyuz launcher from the Kourou European Spaceport, the company said. Eastern, after a one-day delay because of gusty upper-level winds.
The CSO next-generation Earth imaging satellites will replace France’s aging Helios 1 and 2 systems.
