Dams overflow as showers bring in New Year
Hinze dam on the Gold Coast is at 101 per cent, while Lake Macdonald at Six Mile Creek is at 100.3 per cent.While heavy falls are not predicted in the southeast over coming days, rain is welcome in the Darling Downs with dam levels at Warwick’s Leslie Dam sitting at only 12.47 per cent. With falls in excess of 100mm since yesterday in Townsville’s Rollingstone and Toomulla, the dam levels remain at 50 per cent.
