Mornington trainer David Brideoakes hopes of Perth Cup glory with Bendigo Cup winner Princess Jenni hinge on a standby seat for a freight flight in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Brideoake has prepared Princess Jenni as if she is running in the Group 2 Cup over 2400m at Ascot on Saturday, but he will not know until 9pm on Wednesday if the mare will be on the plane only six hours later.
“All these big companies contract the plane and if you have a contract you get priority,” Brideoake said….
