Live in Greater Sydney? Here’s what you need to know about the new COVID-19 restrictions
New cases of COVID-19 have now been located across Greater Sydney, prompting concerns from authorities ahead of New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Eighteen new cases were announced on Wednesday, including six people from one family in Croydon, in Sydney’s inner-west.
In a bid to stop the spread, fewer people will be allowed to gather for the usual end-of-year celebrations across the region.
There are also new regulations for people who live in the southern region of the northern beaches, but there has been no update in restrictions for the northern zone.
With 2021 just around the corner, these are the new restrictions that will come into effect in Greater Sydney from 12:00am AEDT.
