Louisiana congressman-elect Luke Letlow dies from COVID-19

A US congressman-elect has died of coronavirus just days before he was due to be sworn into office.

41-year-old Republican Luke Letlow from Louisiana announced on December 18 that he had tested positive for the virus and on Christmas Eve a spokesman said the father of two was being transferred from St Francis Medical Centre in Monroe to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport Academic Medical Centre for treatment.
