Jayden, or ‘Penno’ to his mates, was only 22 at the time he embarked on a 25 hour road trip from Newcastle to Cairns with his friend Lucas Tattersall, who was 19 at the time.The pair were set to arrive at their destination in time to ring in the New Year, however, for well loved Jayden, he’d never make it to Cairns and would instead disappear without a trace after he was left on the side of a dirt road in Charters Towers after a fight with Mr Tattersall.
