Queens Park train station murder accused sent to Perth psychiatric hospital

A man charged with murder following an early morning incident at Queens Park station in Perth’s south-east has been sent to a psychiatric hospital after appearing in court.

Lex Gerald Pickett, from Mount Claremont, is accused of fatally assaulting 70-year-old Allan Dennis Thomas around 6:00am yesterday.
Mr Thomas was taken to Royal Perth Hospital but later died.
Mr Pickett, 52, made a brief appearance in Perth Magistrates Court this morning.
