NYE celebrations dampened after BOM forecasts wet and wild weather for NSW and Greater Sydney

The year is likely to end on a gloomy note for NSW residents, with the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) forecasting rainfall and thunderstorms to continue through New Year’s Eve and the whole week.

Wet and wild weather is expected to put a dampener on Sydneysiders’ New Years Eve plans as people were likely to take advantage of the 50 person outdoor gathering cap, rather than 10 indoors.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian encouraged outdoor gatherings where possible to reduce coronavirus transmission risks, but the BOM…
