Man, 18, killed after stolen car slams into tree

Initial police investigations suggest the 18-year-old was travelling along Rutherford Road, Kulangoor, when he veered off the road and into a tree about 4.45am.

The man, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.Police suspect the white Mitsubishi Outlander the man was travelling in was stolen from a Nambour property prior to the crash. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
