Soak up the sun before NYE soaking
The Bureau of Meteorology is warning of potentially large downpours across northern and central Queensland, where rainfall modelling predicts tropical parts could receive more than 150mm this week.Ingham recorded a whopping 81mm between 9am and 4pm yesterday, while Julia Creek was hit with 45mm. Forecaster Matthew Marshall said showers are expected to gradually build in the southeast leading up to New Year’s Eve, with far lower rainfall totals than in the north.
