NSW health authorities have the strongest indication yet that a COVID infection in a worker at the Belrose Hotel may be the earliest known case in a cluster that sparked the Northern Beaches lockdown.
A 20-year-old worker at the hotel was found this week to have been suffering the virus in early December.
